Did you know it’s International Micro-volunteering day today?
A day for doing small things to make a big difference.
The perfect day therefore for some of our members to have got together, in the rain, to pick up some of the bazillions of plastic bottles that sadly line our river.
Two and a half hours. We covered about 100 metres of the river. And collected 30 bin bags full of plastic bottles and other rubbish in some very difficult to reach places!
A small indent into a massive problem. But we made a difference.
Huge thank you to Andrew from The Eden Gardens for the loan of the litter pickers which were kindly donated by Co-op Food. ... See MoreSee Less

Fantastic result for Lucy Glover at the GB Rowing Team Senior, U23 and FISU Trials. Second in the semi final just behind Vicky Thornley.
Amazing result from Lucy. Continuing to make us incredibly proud. ... See MoreSee Less

Great day at Northwich Rowing Club at their Spring Head. Warrington sent 11 crews and came back with several of their lovely wooden medals (made from the walls of their old boathouse - how cool is that!).
Here is a little souvenir of our day.
Well done to everyone for being there, rowing, winning, not quite winning, helping, towing, coaching, cheering on and feeding (the latter is usually the most important!). ... See MoreSee Less

We’d like to extend a huge congratulations to members of our Ladies Squad who, over the past couple of weeks have been working very hard to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
By each rowing a marathon (either on an erg or in a boat - or some a mixture of the two!), they have so far raised well over £3,000!
They have lived the experience and have been stunned and delighted by the support they have had from fellow club members and family and friends.
It has been great to see them achieve this and also see the support from fellow members both in terms of donations and encouragement in the gym and on the water.
Thank you to everyone! 😊😍💪 ... See MoreSee Less
