Women’s Squad

There is one women’s competitive squad at Warrington or a range of ages from 18 to 50+.

The Women’s Squad trains a minimum of 4 times a week:

  • Winter training is made up of a mix of indoor – gym sessions during the week days in the evening, and outdoor – on the water sessions during the weekends
  • Summer training is made up of mainly outdoor water sessions during the weekday evenings (dependant on daylight) and the weekends. There are still gym sessions mixed in to maintain and continue to develop fitness.
Warrington Rowing Club Ladies Squad training on the River Mersey

There are a range of abilities from novice (having just completed the learn to row course) to experienced rowers. We have had a successful year so far and aim to continue, develop in the future.

  • We go to the majority of the local events held by clubs in the NW. We also travel further afield to the larger events, such as Head of the River, National Championships and Henley.
  • The club also holds a head and regatta each year.
