Head of the Mersey
SUNDAY 8TH FEBRUARY 2026
Head of the Mersey consists of two laps of the 1800m Head Course on a stretch of the River Mersey in Warrington, starting upstream of Warrington Rowing Club. The first leg is raced upstream, with second leg being raced back downstream toward the rowing club.

RACE FEES
- JUNIOR: £10 per seat
- ADAPTIVE: £10 per seat
- OPEN/ MAS: £12 per seat
- COXES EXCLUDED
Entries will close earlier if event is oversubscribed or maximum capacity of trailers is reached. Event may be banded, crews moved between categories and/or subject to masters handicaps where applicable. No doubling up of competitors or equipment in consecutive divisions. Entries found to have doubled up risk being withdrawn without warning.
